This recipe for a cheeky Brazilian picadillo is a great alternative to standard Chilli.
Picadillo is a traditional dish made across Latin America. In this Brazilian version you'll discover some toasty flavors from the cloves and cinnamon . Plus there is sweetness from the raisins, before a savoury poke thanks to the olives and capers.

- To make the picadillo you’ll need to start things off by heating the coconut oil in a large pan on a medium/high heat
- Add the onions, pepper and garlic to the pan and fry for a couple of minutes
- Add the mince to the pan and cook for a few minutes until it has browned
- Add the raisins, capers, olives chopped tomatoes, vinegar and all of the herbs and spices and mix through
- Cover with a lid, reduce the heat to low and simmer for around 40 minutes until the sauce has thickened
